Confirmation

Confirmation is an educational and pastoral ministry of the church in which congregations and families working together seek to help students more deeply encounter Jesus in scripture and the traditions of the Lutheran Christian faith in preparation for taking a more active role in congregational life. At the end of two years, students are invited to affirm the promises their parents and others made for them at the time of their baptism. The rite in which they do this is called Affirmation of Baptism.

Students in the confirmation program at Our Savior's attend class twice a month for 90 minutes, assist with worship at least two Sundays a month, and takes notes on what they see and hear in weekly worship. They also may participate in service projects at various times during the year.
